International Child Welfare

The mission of the International Child Welfare (ICW) program at CHSFS is to support vulnerable children, families and communities around the world.

Every day, through our international adoption programs, our eyes are opened to the needs of at-risk children across the globe. While adoption is a solution for some children, our goal is for children to thrive in the countries in which they live. Through partnerships and the help of generous donors like you, CHSFS provides support to vulnerable populations in 12 countries.  

Projects follow a targeted community-based model which provides care, protection, health and education. Services are provided through a range of projects including preventative and emergency medical care, anti-trafficking efforts, schools, meal programs, foster care support, clean water access, gender equality and vocational training.

While we realize the first step may be to identify and address immediate needs, ultimately our goal is to help improve the long-term conditions of vulnerable populations in the countries which they live.
