Children’s Home Society & Family Services is known for its excellent adoption programs. More and more, people are learning we also offer an abundance of classes, events, workshops, webinars and support groups designed to help families throughout their parenting journey. Become a part of our amazing community in one of the following ways. Children's Home Society & Family Services has online and in-person classes that provide Introductory Adoption Information Meetings. Check out the link to see where and when these informative "what's it all about" classes are offered. We have webinars on an on-going basis and in-person sessions regularily in Maryland and Minnesota. We also travel to partner agencies throughout the year for in-person meetings throughout the USA. CHSFS offers support specifically for Adoptive Families, Many of our classes are open to any family at any point in the adoption process regardless of who facilitated the adoption. CHSFS offers pre-adoption preparation classes, support groups for waiting families, and workshops that provide ongoing child development and cultural resources for adoptive parents as their children grow. CHSFS believes that strong, healthy families raise safe, secure and happy kids. Our Parent Education classes and workshops (online and onsite) are open to all --adopted or not; CHSFS client or not. Many of our parenting webinars are offered over the noon hour--see if your employer would like to offer our webinars as an employee perk! CHSFS offers Personal Relationship Support - from marriage counseling to child counseling to family counseling. We facilitate Domestic Abuse educational groups, teaching both men and women how to eliminate abusive behaviors and learn healthy communication skills in their personal relationships. Our Anger Management classes help people identify and express anger appropriately and respectfully. For Child Welfare Professionals, we offer career development webinars. Join us to learn about trends in the field, enhance your knowledge on topics related to your work with children and families, share your knowledge with your peers, and connect with other professionals in your field. Classes are offered on-line from the convenience of your office as well as on-site in Minnesota.
