Our Support Services:

Individual & Family Counseling (IFC) has skilled, licensed professionals who counsel children and families. Therapeutic services are available to children 3 and older as well as adolescents. Therapists work with families and provide individual counseling. They have experience with adoption as a dynamic in family and individual therapy. For those who are dealing with abuse or depression, debilitating anxiety or family relationship problems such as divorce, IFC can help guide the way to a productive and fulfilling life.

We offer post-adoption therapy services for children, adolescents, or families experiencing problems with:

  • Attachment
  • Grief, loss, abandonment and identity issues of the adoptive child and his/her adoptive family
  • Parenting
  • Adoptive family functioning and integration issues

 Pre-placement therapy for:

  • Relationship concerns (e.g., marital conflict, communication concerns)
  • Family-of-origin issues
  • Parent/child relational difficulties (including attachment)
  • Grief and loss
  • Depression/anxiety

Resiliency training is also available for parents who want to learn how to develop and encourage a child’s ability to deal with stress and pressure.
