National Adoption Month has come a long way from its roots as Adoption Week in the state of Massachussetts over 30 years ago! 2010 will be the 20th year that the month of November has been dedicated to promoting awareness of the need for permanent families for children in U.S. foster care – and around the world.

A national day of celebration of adoptive families and an opportunity for courts to open their doors and finalize the adoptions of children from foster care. Families, adoption advocates, policymakers, judges and volunteers will come together and celebrate adoption in communities large and small all across the nation.

Come meet CHSFS staff, enjoy some light refreshments, and buy fair trade artisan-crafts from more than 38 countries - including many of the countries with which CHSFS works to place children in need.
