Children's Home Society & Family Services Announces New Educational Offerings for Adoptive Families
Now enrolling for educational opportunities that empower adopted persons and give adoptive parents tools to help navigate through the unique nuances adoption brings to parenting.

St. Paul, Minn. January 25, 2007 -- Because adoption is a lifelong journey and not a one-time event, Children's Home Society & Family Services (CHSFS), a long-standing full service adoption agency, offers education and support for birthparents, adoptive parents and adopted persons throughout their lives. As the first post-adoption program in the country, CHSFS' many years of experience helping families through post-adoption issues has evolved into an ever expanding spectrum of educational opportunities that empower adopted persons and give adoptive parents tools to help navigate through the unique nuances adoption brings to parenting.

The new Spring/Summer Educational Offerings schedule includes classes on communication challenges unique to adoption, building whole-family health and the exploration of adoption-themed books for adults and movies for children. In addition, the schedule includes support groups for children and for parents of adoptive children of various ages. Support groups are facilitated by licensed social workers and adoption professionals.

For a class schedule or to register, please call 651-255-2497 or go online to www.childrenshomeadopt.org
Classes are available to any adopted persons and adoptive parents in the community, regardless of what agency facilitated their adoption.
