Child & Family Support Services

We provide high-quality programs to help families with a wide range of needs. Our services are open to everyone, with a focus on those who are disadvantaged, communities of diverse ethnic backgrounds and low-income households. Our key programs include:

Early Childhood Care and Education

While parents work, attend school or complete job-training programs, they have peace of mind in knowing that their child is being cared for in a safe and nurturing environment by a team of early-learning professionals. CHSFS believes that children deserve a safe, positive and supportive atmosphere to play, learn and grow. Our Early Learning Centers provide high-quality, developmental early learning education and care for children. Our staff partners with parents to nurture and promote learning for each individual child and prepares children to succeed in school.

Individual & Family Counseling

Our Individual & Family Counseling program provides professional support and counseling to children, individuals, couples and families dealing with a wide range of issues, such as abuse, depression, debilitating anxiety or family relationship problems. We have also developed expertise helping adoptive families through adoption-related issues.

Family Support Programs

We help families face challenges such as child abuse and neglect, domestic abuse and anger management, learning disabilities and financial problems. Both our Child Abuse Prevention (formerly known as Crisis Nursery) and Domestic Abuse & Anger Management programs help to keep vulnerable children safe and bring hope and strength to families at risk. Our Befriender Mentoring program provides young mothers with a role model to help them meet the challenges of parenting. Our Financial & Home Ownership Education program helps families take control of their finances and set future goals. Our Learning Disabilities program helps parents get the resources they need to help their child become a successful learner.
