We Have Received Full Hague Accreditation

The Council on Accreditation has granted Children's Home Society & Family Services’ application for full Hague Accreditation pursuant to the Intercountry Adoption Act of 2000 (IAA). This achievement of Hague Accreditation demonstrates CHSFS’ commitment to the children and families both in the United States and abroad.

The Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption, a multilateral treaty signed by the U.S., requires international adoption service providers to be accredited, supported and monitored. Hague regulations establish uniform requirements and ensure sound ethical practices designed to protect children, birthparents and adoptive parents from the vagaries of a complicated process.

“Children’s Home Society & Family Services has been practicing at the level set by the Hague Convention for many years. In the interest of children around the world who deserve permanency, we are pleased that others in the adoption field will be held to these rigorous standards,” says Madonna King, president and CEO of Children’s Home Society & Family Services.
