Overnight Respite Provider Parent Support Services offers programs to prevent child abuse and neglect, by working with families in times of extreme stress or crisis. By providing a shelter home, families can care for children up to 72 hours in their own homes, truly making a difference in the lives of children and families in the community. |
Child Care Assistant Help childcare center staff enrich their services to children. Volunteers will assist staff in providing a safe and positive atmosphere that encourages children to play, learn and grow. A three-month commitment is required (weekdays, 8am-11am, some sites 3-5pm). |
SMART Develop positive relationships with elementary school students. Be a tutor and teach academic skills to increase youth self-esteem at the Cedar-Riverside Plaza on weekdays from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Volunteer position requires a three-month (approximately 30 hours) commitment of weekly 2- to 4-hour sessions. Position not available during the summer. |
Student Support Work with older youth (junior and senior high school) in a diverse cultural setting to improve the academic achievement of students. Assist youth with their homework at Cedar-Riverside Plaza, Monday-Thursday, 4pm to 9pm. Volunteer position requires a three-month (approximately 30 hours) commitment of weekly 2- to 4-hour sessions. Position not available during the summer. |
Evening Greeter Help us greet the children and families that use our evening programs at our one of our three locations - Roseville, Eustis Street and Como Avenue. |
Parent Support Services Donation Driver The Donation Driver volunteer will provide assistance to the Parent Support Services program by picking up donated items in Dakota County and delivering them to the Parent Support Services office in St. Paul. This is an ongoing position; help is needed approximately two to three times per month. |
