Gift Certificates are what the Family Support Program needs the most at this time.  They offer the flexibility of storage space and empowering families so they can purchase exactly what they need.  We give out these cards for anything from a new pair of shoes to a quick meal.  Gift cards should be in small amounts ($10-$20).

  • Target, Walmart
  • SuperAmerica, Holiday, BP or other large gas stations
  • Valvoline or other oil change and car repair vendors
  • Cub Foods, Rainbow Foods or other large grocery stores
  • Great clips, Costcutters or other inexpensive hair salons
  • Fast Food restaurants like Subway, Burger King, Pizza Hut, McDonalds 
  • Bus Tokens/ Bus Cards
  • Movie passes and or rental coupons

 Please check carefully to make sure there are no peanut products in ingredients (allergies)

  • Tuna Fish in water
  • Mayonnaise
  • Jelly (apple or grape)
  • Applesauce snack packs or large jars
  • Crackers (graham, goldfish, vanilla wafers, or animal)
  • Fruit cups or cans/jars of fruit
  • Juice:  Apple or white grape (boxes or large jars)
  • Individually wrapped snacks (fruit snacks, crackers, cereal bars, etc)
  • Other non-perishable food items also accepted:  ex: boxed cereal

 

Food exception to peanut rule:

  • Peanut Butter:  smooth only.

  • New School Supplies:  scissors, glue sticks, rulers, notebooks, tape, #2 pencils, Backpacks, erasers, etc.
  • Birthday Bags (cake mix, frosting, candles, paper supplies, gift for child, etc)
  • Calendars per year (for use with families needing budgeting assistance)
  • Plastic Alphabetical Budgeting Files.

Books

  • children’s books with bonding themes (books about the parent-child bond, or books that say “I love you” or others with friendly morals)

  • Overnight Respite Providers : for overnight safe placement for children
