Through our Parent Support program, Children’s Home helps victims of domestic violence move past crisis to create a safe and stable home for themselves and their children. I was riding in the back of the bus mid-afternoon a few weeks ago.  I noticed a young mom get on the bus with a stroller, many bags and a very active son.  The boy was tired, loud and pushing his mom’s buttons.  She tried very hard to redirect his behavior, but it was clear to me that the “audience” of bus riders was causing her additional stress.  I watched as her shoulders raised and her voice became tense and urgent towards the boy.
