Your Children’s Emotional Development
Just as there are milestones for early childhood development (crawling, walking, talking, etc.), there are stages and steps for emotional development in young children. Emotional development involves a variety of components including trust, independence, confidence, social skills and coping skills. A parent’s (or caregiver’s) role in encouraging age appropriate, healthy emotional development will be covered. This webinar will review the stages of emotional development including typical phases that young children may go through. Atypical development will be covered, as well as behaviors that should be monitored or evaluated further. The comprehensive resources available through CHSFS, and in the community, will be presented as well.
