Your Children’s Emotional Development
Just as there are milestones for early childhood development (crawling, walking, talking, etc.), there are stages and steps for emotional development in young children. Emotional development involves a variety of components including trust, independence, confidence, social skills and coping skills. A parent’s (or caregiver’s) role in encouraging age appropriate, healthy emotional development will be covered. This webinar will review the stages of emotional development including typical phases that young children may go through. Atypical development will be covered, as well as behaviors that should be monitored or evaluated further. The comprehensive resources available through CHSFS, and in the community, will be presented as well. Positive mental health comes from healthy emotional development!

Take a Stand: Empowering our Children to Respond to Bullying
Bullying is an unfortunate reality in our schools today. As parents, we often feel powerless to prevent bullying. However, we can empower our children by teaching them how to respond effectively to teasing and questions. Join us as we discuss the specific types of bullying that our children may be victim to, and come away with practical tools and ideas on how to help them respond.
