Children's Home Society & Family Services provides Day Treatment for preschool through high school children in 5 separate age groups.Day treatment consists of three hour sessions, five days per week for small groups of children (4-10). Groups include therapy, social skills and life skills. Most of the children in day treatment also get individual therapy on a regular basis and family therapy is a requirement for some clients (and an option for all clients). Today, one in five children face life with the challenges of a mental health, emotional or behavioral disorder, and one in three are affected by family violence. These issues can have a tremendous impact on a child’s learning and socialization, leading to problems at home, in school and in the community. Families often struggle to find the support they need to help their children and themselves. Referrals come from parents, schools, other professionals and county social workers. Children need to fail in a less restrictive setting before being appropriate/eligible for day treatment. Fees for day treatment programming are usually billed to medical insurance. Please email us at info@chsfs.org or call us at 763.331.3033 for more information. Visit our locations page for our Day Treatment address and map. |
