Outreach is a necessary part of the infant adoption process for waiting families. But it can be hard to know where to start, or what to focus on. Below are the top seven outreach tips recommended by...
Our East office, formerly Adoption Service Information Agency (A.S.I.A.), has been providing high-quality international adoption services for families in Maryland and Virginia since 1981.

Home Study and Post-Placement Only Services
We offer comprehensive home study services and post-placement supervision to families residing Maryland and Virginia for the adoption of a child/children through a country program offered by another accredited child placing agency, private domestic adoption, or a domestic child placing agency in another state.
We understand that adoption is a lifelong journey and work to support people of all ages who have a connection to adoption: adopted persons, their families, and the broader adoption community. Learn about our domestic and international birth family and background searches as well as our post-adoption educational opportunities.
Currently, our agency is not hosting post-adoption support groups. However, The Center for Adoption Support and Education offers the Kids Adoption Network (KAN) that provides kids ages 6-18 the opportunity to interact in a group setting with similarly-aged new friends. Learn more about this support group.
If you'd like to get involved or learn more, we encourage you to participate in adoption-focused educational webinars, view the calendar of events for members of the adoption community, and/or find volunteer opportunities in the DC metro area.
