Little Red Ball

Dear Supporters,

Children’s Home Society & Family Services staff and board continuously evaluate and adjust our programs, classes and events to ensure that we best serve the needs and wants of our community. We were delighted by the great success of our first Children’s Home Adoption Celebration this spring, and the Winemaker’s Dinner last fall was a huge success. We really enjoyed the wonderful, family-friendly Little Red Ball in November as well. That said, we came to the realization that coordinating three major events within a short timeframe is a stretch for our staff, sponsors and participants.

After much debate and discussion with staff and board committees, we decided to cancel the Little Red Ball event scheduled for November 12. We will continue with Winemaker’s Dinner on September 25, 2011 and Children’s Home Adoption Celebration on March 10, 2012.    

We expect there will be some who are disappointed by this decision; please know that we did not make this decision lightly.  Our hope is that we can harness the great energy surrounding the Little Red Ball, and make Winemaker’s Dinner and the Children’s Home Adoption Celebration even more successful fundraisers for the children and families we serve.
