Working together, we empower families to overcome stress and crises to become strong and healthy.Children’s Home Society & Family Services has a long history of working to prevent child abuse and neglect. Over the years we have modified our programs to incorporate best practices in the field and respond to the changing needs of our clients. Currently, the primary service we offer to parents at risk of abusing or neglecting their children is in-home case management or home visiting services, following the model recommended by the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services. We receive referrals from child protection workers in Hennepin, Ramsey, Chisago and Anoka Counties for these services. The parents who receive this service have multiple risk factors, including domestic violence, mental illness, chemical dependency, poverty, or other significant stressors. Working with partner organizations in the community and county agencies, Children's Home is reaching more families in need. We are proud to share these collaborative efforts:
