Because adoption is a lifelong journey. We support persons of all ages who have a connection to adoption:  adopted persons, their families, and their communities. Everyone impacted by adoption and each member of the adoption circle deserves consideration. Adults and children of all ages can benefit from access to lifelong support, education and resources.

As part of the Post-Adoption community, CHSFS can provide you with services and supports from professionals, peers, mentors, experts, elders, supporters and friends. There is no limit to the information you can gather and the support you will find from the wonderful people that have been touched through adoption.

Every step along the adoption path is supported, regardless of placing agency. Through Post-Adoption Services, you will find a host opportunities especially designed to help you as an individual – and your extended family and community – connect with personal identity, history, experience and culture.

Children’s Home Society & Family Services provides the following Post-Adoption Services:

  • Education and support classes, webinars, mentorships, support groups and cultural events that explore adoption, celebrate diversity and provide opportunities for you to connect with others in the post-adoption community.
     
  • Post-Adoption Helpline: Call 800.952.9302 ext. 2320 with your adoption-related questions. If you prefer e-mail, contact: pashelpline@chsfs.org.
     
  • Search and background services help in connecting you with your birthfamily, foster family or others important to your adoption story, either domestically or internationally.
     
  • Birthland travel opportunities for international adoptees to experience first-hand and better understand their countries of origin.
     

Children's Home Post-Adoption Services are offered year-round. Support groups, webinars, educational and cultural opportunities are continually added and updated.
