We understand that the decision to place your child with an adoptive family does not come lightly.

On the contrary. It comes from a strong desire to do what you believe is in the best interests of your child at this time.

For whatever reason, you may not be ready to be a parent at this time. However, you can still play a role in your child’s life.  In an open adoption, you will choose the family to adopt your child, and work with them to prepare an open adoption plan.

Children's Home Society & Family Services no longer offers pregnancy counseling, but we can direct you to an unbiased, supportive pregnancy counseling program in your area.  A pregnancy counselor can help you determine the best plan for you and your child.

Call us for more information at 651.646.7771 in the Twin Cities or 800.952.9302 outside the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

Please view profiles of our homestudy-approved families to learn more about the prospective parents who are ready to provide a permanent and loving home to a child.
