Children's Home Society & Family Services is here to strengthen your family and help your children thrive. Our work is driven by a belief in the fundamental human rights of children to have security, opportunity and a loving family.

We focus on helping you, your children and your family through these key service areas:

Adoption

Children’s Home unites children with loving, nurturing families through international, domestic and foster care adoption. Adoption is a lifelong journey:  we strengthen adoptive families through pre- and post-adoption education and support, and we help adopted persons seek a sense of their culture and history.

Adoption services are available to families nationwide from our agency headquarters in St. Paul, Minn., and offices in Silver Spring, Md.  | learn more |

Early Childhood Care & Education

Children's Home Early Learning Centers help young children prepare for success in school, providing safe, supportive environments in which they can play, learn and grow.

We operate Early Learning Centers at corporate and community sites throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.  | learn more |

Child Mental Health

Children’s Home helps children with a mental health diagnosis develop the skills to succeed in school and relate to the world around them. We provide an array of comprehensive mental health services for children in pre-school through grade 12—including early intervention and prevention, day treatment and outpatient programs—and support for their parents.

Formerly known as Family Networks, children’s mental health services are available in Hennepin County.  | learn more |

Child & Family Support

Children’s Home empowers families to overcome crisis, build long-term stability and prevent child abuse or neglect. We provide counseling and resources to overcome parenting challenges, financial problems, domestic abuse, anger problems, learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Families in the Twin Cities can find support through our offices in Anoka, Chisago, Dakota and Ramsey counties.  | learn more |

Counseling & Therapy

Children’s Home provides a broad range of counseling and therapy services to help children and families coping with emotional, relationship and mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and stress. Our staff is uniquely qualified to offer adoption-competent services. We also offer free, confidential, unbiased pregnancy counseling.

Counseling services are offered at our St. Paul offices.  | learn more |

International Child Welfare

Children’s Home supports humanitarian projects that improve the care, protection, health and education of vulnerable children in 12 countries worldwide.

Every day, through our international adoption programs, our eyes are opened to the needs of at-risk children across the globe. While adoption is a solution for some children, our goal is for children to thrive in the countries in which they live.  | learn more |
