Join a community of adults who are adopted for networking, service, fun and education.

Adopted persons are valued contributors to our mission-driven work and vision for children.  CHSFS offers many ways for adults who are adopted to be involved in our work serving children and families all over the world.

Resource Committee of Adopted Adults

Do you want to join a professional group of other adopted adults? The Resource Committee of Adopted Adults (RCAA) is the first national group of adult adopted persons from different adoptee communities.  This group of international and domestic adopted persons works together educating each other, as well as the broader community, through a partnership with CHSFS. The committee implements RCAA’s mission through special functions, community events, and other activities. | Learn more about RCAA  |

M&M Mentoring Program

Adopted adults are needed to mentor adopted youth, with the hopes of creating a unique relationship in order to build youth self-esteem and affirm their cultural heritage through positive role modeling. A six-hour training is provided and a one-year is commitment required. | Learn more about the M&M Mentoring Program |

Volunteer with CHSFS

Whether you’re looking for a one-time or ongoing opportunity, as an individual or with a group, we’ll work with your interests, strengths and schedule to create a meaningful volunteer experience. CHSFS will provide all the tools and training you’ll need to get started. | Volunteer with CHSFS |

Birthfamily Search and Background Information

Search, outreach and openness services as well as background information are available to all members of the adoption circle (in some cases including extended family members of those touched by adoption). | Learn more about Birthfamily Search and Background Services |

Post-Adoption Services Helpline

Did you know that Children’s Home Society and Family Services has a helpline ready to talk with you about post-adoption related questions? | Contact the Post-Adoption Services Helpline |
