Adoption Celebration Event Volunteer – MInneapolis, MN
Do you love experiencing new cultures and traditions? Children’s Home Society & Family Services is recruiting volunteers to assist our annual Adoption Celebration on Saturday, March 10, 2012. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work set-up and take-down, assist families on cultural activities, oversee the stage performances, manage vendor areas, assist with registration and more.
Volunteers will be divided into shifts between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Register here.

Clerical and Administrative Support Volunteers –  Saint Paul, MN
Do you have one or two days a week to help out in our main office?  We are looking for a couple of office support volunteers to help us with administrative tasks such as filing, making copies, data entry and other projects as needs arise and based on the volunteer’s skills and experience.  We’re looking for individuals who have experience working in an office setting and who enjoy clerical projects.  These positions would require someone organized and efficient.  Confidentiality and discretion are key as the volunteer(s) might be involved in projects that would include client information. Successful candidates will be available at least one or two days a week during business hours of 8am-4pm.  We anticipate these volunteers providing 5-10 hours of support a week and would ask for a 3month (or longer) commitment.  Contact Karen Bivens at kbivens@chsfs.org or 651-255-2331

Mentor for Adopted Youth – CHSFS Eustis Office – St. Paul, MN
Adopted adults are needed to mentor adopted youth in our M&M (Mentor & Mentee) Program. Create a unique relationship to help build youth self-esteem and affirm their cultural heritage through positive role modeling. Currently, we have a specific need for male mentors and South American female mentors. A three-hour training is provided and a one-year is commitment required. Volunteers with this program must have a good driving record. If you are interested, don't delay – kids are waiting for mentors right now! Please email mmprogram@chsfs.org.
